Depending on individual, incisions may be made along the area outside the nipple, downward towards the breast crease, or along the breast crease. Excess skin is removed, and sutures may be placed inside to reposition the breast tissue. The area next to the nipple area may also be reduced. The breast tissue and nipple positions are then raised.
The treatment takes about two hours in an outpatient surgery center.
