As for all treatments for skin, proper topical medical product regimen is initiated prior to any other treatment.  Once the skin is primed, treatment can be started.

Injection is administered manually and is particularly useful for spot treatment for areas such as the temples, around the eyes, cheeks, and around the chin.

After the procedure, further cooling is provided, followed by anti-redness medicine and sunblock.  

Generally, several sessions are required.  

The treatment takes about half hour in an outpatient clinic setting.

Local, topical, and oral anesthesia may be used.
