Laser
Beauty and the Beam
Laser is a focused beam of intense, “single-colored” light and heat energy with a specific wavelength but variable intensity and pulse duration designed to selectively interact with specific tissues of the skin.
The effect of laser depends on wavelength, degree of cooling, intensity of energy or fluence, pulse duration ranging from picoseconds to milliseconds, the intended targets, and skin type of the individuals. The effect of laser on tissues is specific and is based on the principle of selective photothermolysis.
Most lasers thus target primarily very specific components of the skin. As such, combination treatments with other modalities and lasers generally produce broader and more effective outcomes.
Laser can be used to treat the following conditions:
- Skin tone
- Melasma
- Postinflammatory pigmentation
- Diffuse pigmentation
- Pigmented spots
- Non-pigmented spots
- Superficial pigmentation
- Deep pigmentation
- Rosacea and redness
- inflammation
- Large pores
- texture
- Fine lines
- Firmness and skin tightening
- Oil control and acne
- acne scar
- Spider vein
- Leg vein
- Hair removal
- Tattoo
- Dryness
Laser can help to produce the following results: Laser can help to produce the following results:
- More even Skin tone
- Improved Melasma
- Improved Postinflammatory pigmentation
- Improved Diffuse pigmentation
- Lighter Pigmented spots
- Smaller Raised spots
- Lighter Superficial pigmentation
- Lighter Deep pigmentation
- Rosacea and redness
- Reduced inflammation
- Large pores
- Smoother texture
- Reduced Fine lines
- Better oil and acne control
- Acne scar
- smaller Spider vein
- smaller Leg vein

Types of Laser Treatment
Medium Depth Pigment Laser
Alexandrite Laser
Peeling Laser
Erbium Laser
This laser, erbium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet neodymium YAG laser, is based on 2940 nm wavelength which targets primarily water for skin resurfacing.
Melasma Laser
Clear+Brilliant Laser
This laser, a diode fractional laser, is based on 1440 and 1927 nm wavelengths which target primarily water for skin resurfacing.
Broad Band Light
IPL
This light, is actually not strictly a laser, but rather a broad band light of wavelengths ranging from 500 nm to 800 nm, which primarily targets blood and melanin.
IPL RF, the enhanced version, combines broad band light energy with bidirectional radiofrequency energy, providing even more effective results for skin rejuvenation.
Superficial Vascular and Pigment Laser
KPT Laser
This laser, potassium titanyl phosphate laser, is based on 532 nm wavelength which primarily targets blood, melanin, and red tattoos.
Calming Light
Light Emitting Diode (LED)
LED is an unique “cool” skin healing treatment. Unlike most other heat and redness producing treatments like traditional laser and chemical peels, LED produces no heat redness.
Deep Pigment and Vascular Laser
Nd Yag Laser
This laser, neodymium YAG laser, is based on 1064 nm wavelength which primarily targets collagen, blood, melanin, and tattoos.
